Jane lowered herself amongst her chair and kneeled down, curling her body as if she was trying to form into the shape of a ball, and clutched her head in her hands. She felt absolutely terrible. I guess you can say I have lived a lonely life, I'm by myself a lot, work is all about just me, no groups, just me so team work is not a word that I would use a lot. I am a writer and its a fast paced world for some, others its more about alone time with your thoughts and that's the category that I would fit into. I am all about being alone with my thoughts and putting pen to paper or typing up my feelings about love, life, sex, loneliness, children whatever is on my mind I do it. The problem with speed dating though, is the very nature of it. Like it's title insists, speed dating is a series of mini-dates, where you all play sort of a "romatic" version of 'musical chairs'. I decided to try free online dating. I never had tried it before but I did not see the harm in it. I figured that perhaps free online dating could actually be more interesting than normal dating so free online dating was worth a shot right? My friend who was actually my best friend had met her husband to be using a free online dating website and they really did seem like the real deal. They were really close and I even figured that perhaps they could actually be soul mates which was just amazing and I was happy for them. I wanted to be just as happy as they were though because I had only ever had stupid flings where the relationship is only usually stable when in the bedroom. Now I wanted a proper relationship and a serious commitment to somebody rather than just an embrace and then sex. I thought if my best friend can find true love on the internet then perhaps I could too. It took me a while to find some good dating websites but I eventually found one that seemed to suit me perfectly. There were plenty of men that appealed to me and I became in contact with some really nice people, many of whom became good friends so I was pretty happy that even if I did not find somebody special, at least I had made some good friends that hopefully would stick around for quite a long time if not forever.
