She was beacon of light, a star twinkling in the sky, when she first caught my eye. How could anyone, even a goddess, be so incredibly gorgeous? She had me captivated from that moment.

I walked over to her. I tried to speak, but my throat caught like it was in a stroke. There were no men nearby, so I assumed there was no boyfriend to smash my face if I talked to her. She smiled in a crooked sort of way. It reached up to her ears. Once again i felt like I was going into a stroke.

How can women place a man into total silence with something as simple as a smile? Something as sweet as wave? Women are more complicated than understanding the space-time continuum. Whatever their secret is, men are forever doomed to be kept in the dark about it.

dating women is a dangerous game. They can be gorgeous and invite you in like this girl just did. Then they can leave you stranded just as quickly as you found them. The part of a boyfriend seems most of the time to be only an act.

Her eyes were a startling sea of blue. Clear and full of life. She seemed to emit some sort of inviting energy. Meeting a woman like her is a tough place. I never know what to say. I am nothing compared to her, just a dork on a once in a life time night out. I am alone. No one could spare any time away from the books. I myself am taking a risk just by being out tonight, to see if I can fit into some part of life.

I have never been much of a boyfriend. Who wants to date a nerd? I turn most girls away on sight. Something has to be up for a gorgeous girl like her to be interested in me. Should I take my chances and finally play in the dating field?

She has not said much either. Maybe she is rethinking her decision upon my appearance up close. She smiles again, this time warm and inviting. I work up the nerve to choke back my self-induced stroke and smile back.
