I've tried on-line dating but I never got to meet any of them, even those who I was really interested in. I haven't had a partner since I ran out the church on my wedding day five years earlier, and I haven't seen Craig since. I don't blame his if he hates me. It's the worst thing you can do to someone, leaving him at the alter. Well, I was nineteen. I wanted to get married, and I did love Craig, I still love Craig. I felt I was too young to get married. I had the world ahead of me and wanted to explore before I settled down.
Since then I never seem to be able to meet anyone. When I saw an advert on the TV for on-line dating, I decided to give it ago. Three years later, and most the relationships or friendships I had through the dating website have somehow ceased to be of existence, may be they all have met someone else. I wouldn't have minded if it was only friendship they wanted.
I decided to have a different approach. I searched the Internet to find other dating services. I found one that was quite intriguing. All you have to do is fill out their application form online. They will match your profile to many others to find your perfect match and they will send you their profile. If both side accept the match, they will set up a date as part of their service. This dating services could work, at least they could meet me before ceasing communication.
Without further enquiries, I choose the dating services that operated within and near my area. I carefully filled out the on-line application form and uploaded a picture of myself. I read my profile over and over before I submitted it. Now all I have to do is wait.
A couple of weeks passed by and I still have not heard anything from the dating services. I even checked the account every day to see if there was any messages, but yet there was nothing.
I decided to give up on all hope to find that someone special. If it's meant to be it will happen. May be he's right in front of me and I never noticed him? Or I need to do something drastic to meet new guys? If mother nature has intended me to be single, then I guess I better get on with exploring the world.
Getting home from work one raining day. A large envelope was waiting for me behind my front door. Kicking my shoes off and throwing my wet coat over a chair in the kitchen. I flicked the kettle on as I opened the envelope.
It was from the dating services and they have found a match. I couldn't believe it. It was Craig. They have matched me up with Craig? How can he be single? He's gorgeous and so perfect in many ways. I read his profile and stared at his picture, over and over. He hasn't changed in five years. I wonder how he felt receiving my profile through the post? Would he agree to the dating service to set up a date? Well, there's only one way to find out. I logged into my account and sent a reply to the dating service to agree to have a date with Craig. Now I have to wait and see if Craig would agree to the date.
A few days later, I received a letter from the dating service with details of the date. The date was set for the following Saturday night. I can't believed he agreed, after leaving him at the alter? I better be careful this could be his revenge.
I wanted nervously for him at the restaurant that was already pre-booked by the dating services, wondering whether or not he will turn up. And there he was being led to the table by a waiter.
Before I could even speak, he embrace me in a kiss.
Since then, he told me he has never stopped thinking of me and was never able to have a relationship with anyone. He even agreed we were too young to marry. But let's forget the past and start anew.
